How Paybridge connects Shopify and Whop

Your storefront already works for your business. Paybridge connects it to a branded checkout powered by your own Whop account, then brings paid orders back to Shopify.

The essentials

  • Shopify remains your storefront and the place you manage products and fulfillment.
  • Paybridge connects the checkout experience to payments through your own Whop business.
  • Confirmed payments become paid Shopify orders, with sync status visible in Paybridge.

A Shopify store and Shopify Payments do different jobs. Your store is where customers discover products and where your team manages orders. Payment processing is the part that collects the money. Paybridge connects a different payment path without asking you to start again with a new storefront.

For an eligible US business that wants to use Whop for payments, the flow is straightforward: Shopify cart, branded Paybridge checkout, payment through Whop, and a paid order back in Shopify. Here is what that means for you and your customers.

Three platforms, one connected purchase

Shopify keeps the customer-facing store: your theme, product pages, collections, and cart. You continue to manage your catalog and fulfill your orders there. Connecting Paybridge does not mean recreating your store inside Whop.

Paybridge provides the checkout connection and the dashboard for following it. It carries the shopping journey from your store to a checkout with your branding, then connects a confirmed payment to its Shopify order. Whop handles the payment in your own business account. Processing terms, available payment methods, and payouts belong to that relationship.

What your customer experiences

A shopper chooses products on your Shopify storefront and proceeds from the connected cart to your checkout. Their purchase stays focused on your store, with your logo, colors, policies, and order details presented together.

You can use a branded checkout address such as checkout.yourstore.com. The customer enters their contact and delivery information, reviews the total, and pays through the available Whop payment options. Payment-method availability depends on your account, the buyer, and the transaction; a logo alone is not a promise that every method will appear.

Before launching, review your actual products on both a phone and a desktop. Check the cart quantities, shipping, discounts, and total so the experience matches what you promise on your product pages.

What happens after payment

When payment is confirmed, Paybridge links it to the checkout and syncs the paid order into Shopify. The order is available for your fulfillment workflow, while Paybridge provides visibility into the payment and sync status.

Those are separate milestones. A successful payment tells you the buyer paid; a synced order tells you the order reached Shopify. If something needs attention, check the sync status before treating a missing order as a failed payment or asking the customer to pay again.

For example, a customer buying two different variants should produce a Shopify order with the expected items and quantities. Your launch check should confirm the shipping details and order total too. The connection brings the purchase back to the system your team already works in.

Set up the connection, then make it yours

Setup happens through guided connections in Paybridge. Connect your Shopify store, authorize your Whop business, and review that both connections are verified. Then choose your checkout appearance, policies, shipping preferences, and domain.

You decide when to enable checkout. Payment testing is optional before enabling it, but a controlled end-to-end test is a useful way to confirm the customer experience and the resulting order. Detailed connection instructions are available inside your dashboard; you do not need to understand the underlying integration to understand the flow.

What stays with your payment provider

Paybridge connects the systems; it does not approve a business for payment processing or set Whop's payout schedule. It also cannot release money held by Shopify Payments. Existing payment issues still need to be resolved with the provider holding those funds.

Is Paybridge a fit for your store?

Paybridge is designed for merchants who want to keep Shopify and use a branded Whop-powered checkout for new purchases. You need an active, supported Shopify store and a Whop business eligible to process your products. Paybridge currently serves US businesses.

Both Paybridge plans include unlimited connected stores: $69.99 monthly or $672 annually, equivalent to $56 per month. Your Shopify subscription and applicable payment-processing charges are separate. Review the current plans and policies before subscribing.

If you are comparing solutions, use our Whop checkout buying checklist to evaluate the purchase journey, order sync, account ownership, and ongoing cost together.

Common questions

Do customers shop on Whop instead of my Shopify store?

Customers browse your Shopify storefront. Paybridge connects checkout to your Whop business and returns the paid order to Shopify. Your products do not need to become a separate customer-facing Whop storefront.

Do I need to rebuild my store?

No. Paybridge is designed to connect your existing Shopify storefront to a branded checkout. Review your theme and cart flow during setup to confirm the connection behaves as expected.

Can I use my own checkout domain?

Yes. You can connect a checkout subdomain and follow its verification status in Paybridge. The domain must be verified and ready before it serves checkout.

Does this guarantee approval or instant payouts?

No. Whop determines account eligibility, payment availability, fees, and payout terms. Paybridge does not override a provider decision or unlock money held elsewhere.
